On March 5 both men and women’s basketball members were nationally recognized. The women’s team is playing their first season since the program went into a thirteen-year hiatus. They finished (12-9) and second in the conference. Meanwhile, the men’s basketball team who were nationally ranked finished with a (32-2) overall record. Both teams appeared in the East district playoffs.

Knights forward Luis Reynoso of Lawerence, MA was named member of the first team all-region as well as region MVP. Guard Edwin SamMbacka of Paris, France was named to the region third team. Men’s basketball head coach Darren Stratten won region 21 coach of the year.

On the women’ side four basketball players received national recognition. Mirelys Morales of Dracut, MA was named a first team member. Morales was also the regional leader in average PPG at 17.9. McKayla Dingle of was named to the second team. 

Iesha Burgos of Haverhill, MA, and Kamryn Pastorello of Billerica, MA were both honorable mentions.
