NECC Theater will be taking on Angels in America by Tony Kushner. 

To say I’m excited is an understatement. 

NECC is a multiple award winning theater program and I can not wait to see how they create this production. 

Angels in America is a Pulitzer Prize winning play about the 1980s AIDS crisis, in New York City. 

This play explores themes of love, identity, politics and religion through the lives of several different characters. 

The story focuses on a gay couple where one of the partners has AIDS, and a Mormon couple where the husband is a closeted homosexual, all set against the social and political turmoil. 

The play tackles difficult social issues with humor and drama. 

I am looking forward to seeing this production take place and seeing where NECC Theater takes it. 

If there is any program that can take a production that asks difficult questions about who we are, our fears and what we hope for, I truly believe that it’s going to be amazing.
